ANGELS down to me are bending;
Always with me, they are ever caring, tending,
And around me, woven out of love, their flowing mantle they are lending.
I am their child. From out their hours of light my soul has wended.
Born of the sun, my seed upon the earth descended.
Good fruit it must bring forth before my life is ended.
In the Light of a Child, Michael Hedley Burton

TERM 4 DRESS CODE REMINDER
We will be continuing to ensure students meet the Student Dress Code in Term 4. Please read through the code and check that your child has shorts and shirts that are school appropriate for the warmer weather. Most stores with clothing for children include school-wear sections that have affordable clothing items that meet the dress code. We will continue to stock dress code appropriate items for students to change into, to ensure they fit in with their peers and feel comfortable. A reminder that the School Shop stocks an array of clothing including hats, t-shirts and hoodies to make mornings easier!
Parent Education
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
We are delighted to share with you the Term 4 Steiner Parent Education Initiative Program. There are 3 events this term that we hope you take the time to participate in. WCSS covers the cost for attendance AND allows you to claim FCH,  to encourage your support of our pedagogy and your child's learning. We trust you will enjoy these opportunities to learn more of what stands behind the Steiner curriculum.
We start with Barbara Baldwin bringing Supporting My Child’s Learning at Home. Barbara is a highly respected long term educator in Special Needs & Learning Support and this session will look at working with children with divergent needs in an inclusive way.
The term will end with early childhood elder, Ebba Bodame looking at the Spirit of Christmas, preparing the range of modern families to offer Christmas in ways meaningful for them, without being swept up in overly material and commercial waves of persuasion and influence.

Primary News

What a full and wonderful Term 3 Class 3 Dambart had! The children have been open to every new experience, and together we have shared many adventures that will stay with us for years to come.
Our excursion to CREEC was a real highlight. The children loved walking through the wetlands, noticing the birdlife, and listening carefully as we learned about the delicate balance of our local environment. It gave us a deeper sense of how connected we are to the land.
Soon after, we were lucky to spend time with Bel Cox, who shared her Indigenous wisdom with us. Bel taught the children how to move carefully through the bush, to be alert for snakes, to walk gently and with respect, and to understand that every sound and sign in the bush carries meaning. She also showed us which native plants are safe to eat and which are not, and spoke about how Aboriginal people have always known how to survive by observing and listening to Country. Bel reminded us that here in Perth (Boorloo) we live on Whadjuk Noongar boodja, and that it is important to honour the wisdom it holds. The children came away with a new sense of respect and wonder, seeing the bush not just as nature but as a living place full of stories and guidance.
The class sleepover was another big adventure. We camped out in tents on the school grounds and although not much sleep was had, everyone was so brave and embraced the challenge. There was plenty of excitement, laughter and midnight chatter, and waking up together gave the children a real sense of achievement.
Our visit to the Perth Mint added another layer of learning. Watching the gold pour and seeing the long history of our coins made our money main lesson feel alive. The children could connect the history of currency with the coins they use every day, and it sparked many good conversations back in class.
Back at school, the children worked with great energy and creativity in our house building lessons. From simple shelters to more complex dwellings, they explored how humans shape their environments for safety and comfort, and they built their own imaginative structures with enthusiasm.
Term 3 also brought some unexpected recognition when our class, with the support of Bel Cox, won a National Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Award. This was an exciting honour and a reminder of the value of working together with our hands, our hearts and our heads.
Our scarecrow made its way to the Royal Show. We are grateful to be able to showcase our growing knowledge of wool there. A warm thank you goes to Cheryl for her guidance and help with the scarecrow, which was a true community effort.
None of these experiences would have been possible without the support of our parent volunteers. Whether it was helping on excursions, pitching in for projects, or offering time behind the scenes, your care and energy made these moments possible. I am deeply thankful for all that you do.
Amidst all of this, the children have continued to grow in their daily rhythm of stories, lessons, movement and artistic work. They are becoming more resilient, creative and confident each day.
Thank you all for journeying alongside us in Term 3. I look forward to what this term will bring, with more stories, more adventures and more chances to grow together.
Warmly,
Kasia Rymarczyk
