In regards to the incident that occurred last Friday, I can reassure concerned parents that our staff responded swiftly and appropriately, with the duty teacher and other team members ensuring student safety and wellbeing. In line with our school policies and out of respect for individual privacy, we contacted those parents for whom communication was necessary.

I recognise that stories can sometimes take on a life of their own, however in this instance, broader communication was not warranted. I remind all members of our community to refrain from relying on second-hand accounts or speculation. These often distort the reality of a situation and can cause unnecessary concern. 

Staff will continue with our diligent supervision practices and take incidents seriously, always responding with professionalism, care, and in line with our policies.

I thank you for your trust and support and invite anyone seeking clarification to speak directly with us—so that we can ensure information is accurate, respectful, and in service of our students.
